I love the look of homes that are full of life. That life can be people, or pets or for me right now in this stage of my life it is plants! I love learning the intricacies of what they need to survive. My floors and shelves and tops of cabinets are filled with them and I felt it was time to suspend them.
This planter is about 10 inches in diameter and 10 inches in depth and will look fantastic with a droopy plant growing inside of it.
The pot is made using a technique called slip casting where liquid clay is poured into a plaster mold. Then the piece is removed after a time and fired to about 1900 degrees, then it is drawn on, or left plain white, receives a clear coat of glaze and is popped back in the kiln to about 2200 degrees.
