• Get Your Hand Dirty!

  • Balance

I think this idea of balance, and getting out of your own way is something that we all experience. I am guilty of being run by fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of not being good enough, fear of doing the wrong thing, saying the wrong thing. The work is never done, and we continue to change and evolve.
  • You never forget your first.

I remember the first thing she said to me. It wasn't "hello my name is Blank." It was "Man you are just your worst enemy aren't you." I felt so exposed, how did she know. How did she know so much about me from watching me sit there staring after a long day working at a bakery. I didn't know what to say so I just said simply "yes." She went on to explain what a terrible thing that is and what to do about it. That I needed to let it go. To move on to the next thing. To forget what I knew and try something else. To stay open.
  • Kiln Firing Schedules

We fired off a load of Cone 6 with the gifted firing schedule yesterday morning and this morning... STUNNING!!! Couldn't have asked for better results, the problems we were having with glaze defects were no longer!
